For 1996, Mitsubishi already had many cars at disposal from 1995, so they only built three new units for the WRC, and two units for the APRC. New developments concentrated mainly on improving the driveability, with the electromagnetic active differentials still causing trouble here and there. One of these cars, N4 MRE, is supposedly in Andrew Cowan's museum.
Hi! I have one of the recce cars from the E3 days, with the original licence plate N8MRE. Do you have any information on that registration?

Hi! Saw your advert of the car on rallycarsforsale.net. :) Unfortunately, no info on that on my side. The only thing I know about recce cars are the ones they used on Safari Rallyes, but those were rally cars originally (often the previous generation Evos), not purpose-built recce cars. Sorry that I can't help you, but maybe someone will stumble across here that can. ;)
